What's New?

How are things going? Anything new and exciting going on?

Doesn't appear to be much traffic around here anymore.

Re: What's New?

Hey Mister B. Yes it has been awhile since anyone has posted anything. I wonder what everyone else is up to. I don't paint polish for a living and only do a job a few times a year but I get plenty of practice on my truck when needed. So I've just been working and sleeping lately. Don't have much motivation to anything now a days.

have you been doing much detailing lately?

Re: What's New?

I also do not detail for a living. I mainly just do my own vehicles and some for family and friends.

No I have not done any detailing in a while (too cold). It has only been in the 20's for highs around here for the last several weeks and there is close to a foot of snow on the ground that has been accumulating almost daily for the last several weeks, so basically I have been sticking to projects in the house. I probably won't get to do any detailing again until late March or early April depending on the weather. I'm sure some others are in the same boat.

Re: What's New?

That's got to be a let down for someone with interests in detailing. I know this job/hobby is seasonal, but living back east must be real hard. Right now would be a good time to go around and get some clientel for March.

Till the weather clears up I guess it's just drewling over forum posts and videos on youtube of jobs heh.

Re: What's New?

Still no detailing going on around here.

Back in early February we got 2 feet of snow in about a day and a half.

This pic is from the first storm that dumped 2 feet of snow on us back in early Feb.

After the first storm dumped the initial 2 feet of snow on us it seemed like the storms kept coming one after another, for the rest of the month. We ended up with just over 48 total inches of snow for the entire month of February. This is a HUGE amount of snow for us. We normally see 40" of snow for the entire winter season and we got 48" just in February!

We still have snow on the ground now, but it is slowly melting day by day. It is supposed to get up into the 40's this weekend, so that will melt some more of it also and maybe I can actually wash my truck for once. I just hope the snow does not melt too fast and start any flooding around here.

I still have not seen hardly any posts on here anymore. (9 new posts from all members since I last posted back in January) I think everyone must have forgot about this place?

Oh well... I just thought I would chime in with my snow story.

Spring can not come soon enough!!

Re: What's New?

Not forgotten, but on Hiatus (spelling?) Your post is a very good explanation of detailing being 'seasonal'. in a month or two's time, SCD will be back in full force! (crosses fingers) hah. There are quite a few pro detailers on here, that tend to post up during summer only. Hopefully they will come on here soon and share their jobs.

Re: What's New?

With my organizing my time much much better these days, I'll be hanging around here a lot more and posting some big details I have this spring/summer for sure.

I've been gone and on a hiatus for sometime because of other things and lack of internet or quality internet/computer.

All problems solved now.

Chat it up guys.
